The shoe has to be comfortable, otherwise your day will be uphill. And nobody likes that. The fact is that Paris is the city of fashion and all its pedestrians have that culture inside. Wearing sneakers, I could run to the subway, yes, but it would clash with the city. Women's moccasins, give me the ability to dress in an elegant way without losing comfort. A moccasin is practical and beautiful by definition. 
The days I feel cheerful, I use those moccasins that have prints or even bright colors. And those darker for when elegance and simplicity reign. Not always one wants to draw attention, does it? Not bad. We have already taken the first step (and never better said;D) Then it's time to choose clothes. And this is another reason why I choose to dress moccasins. 
You can bring them together with everything you want: jeans, skirts, short dresses… It opens up a range of opportunities, and it touches decision making. I'd just take a little punch. The inability to use them all year round. I imagine you know the close relationship that exists between the city of love and rain, right? Well, that between November and February the only thing I can wear are closed boots to lime and singing. And they are not of any special fabric because the rain (and the dirty puddles) destroy everything.
